Effective from June 26, 2011
CIC has now released a new set of instructions regarding Ministerial
Instruction-3(MI-3), The Skilled Worker
Processing.
29 occupations has been designated for selection, all other
applications will be refused unless they have arranged employment
for selection.

Instructions on which skilled worker applications are
eligible for processing
Under changes to the Immigration and Refugee Protection
Act, federal skilled worker applications are assessed for
eligibility according to the eligibility criteria listed below.
Note: This does not apply to applicants intending to live in the
province of Quebec.
These criteria affect you only if you applied on or after
July 01, 2011. If you applied on or before February 27, 2008, your
application will be processed according to the rules that were in
effect at that time.
Is my application eligible for
processing?
In order for your application to be eligible for processing, you
must include the results of your official language proficiency
test, and either:
* have a valid offer of arranged employment, OR
* be a skilled worker who has had one year of continuous full-time
or equivalent part-time paid work experience in at least one of
the following eligible occupations within the last ten years:

Note:
If you are applying under one of the 29 eligible occupations, as
of July 01, 2011, a maximum of 10,000 Federal Skilled Worker
applications will be considered for processing in the following 12
months. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled
Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for
processing each year.
These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of
arranged employment.

OUR
PRESIDENT BECOMES RCIC AND COMMISSIONER OF OATH
We are
extremely delighted to announce that our honorable President
& CEO DR. MD. JAMILUR RAHIM became the Full Member of
ICCRC upon successful completion of the society’s mandatory
requirements. From now on he will be designated as a Regulated
Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC). As per the rule, all
RCIC Members must be Full Members of the society by October
28, 2011, in order to remain eligible to represent clients
before Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
Furthermore, Our President has been appointed
as the Commissioner of Oath for Taking Affidavits for
Immigration Matters in the Province of Ontario, Canada by the
Attorney General’s Office on June 15, 2010
